New Travel Channel Show
Features Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark
“Extreme Terror Rides 2: Death Defying Drops”
airs Wednesday, September 2 at 7 p.m.

GALVESTON ISLAND, Texas – Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark, voted the world’s best indoor Waterpark year after year, is starring in a new Travel Channel special entitled “Extreme Terror Rides 2: Death Defying Drops.”

Join the Travel Channel’s adrenaline-pumping journey on the world’s wettest, fastest and highest thrill rides including four at Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. The show features the park’s Cliffhanger vertical drop speed slide, Dragon Blaster uphill water coaster, Guada-Loopy enclosed tube slide and the multiple-drop Thunder Tub raft ride.

The show is scheduled to air Wednesday, September 2 at 7 p.m. then again on Thursday, September 3 at 11 p.m.

Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark is open weekends for its summer season through September 20 and features more than 30 family attractions including three interconnected rivers, two uphill water coasters and the signature Boogie Bahn surfing ride.

The Indoor Waterpark is open weekends through Sunday, January 3, 2010. The heated-indoor area was recently voted as the world’s best indoor Waterpark and features more than a dozen climate controlled attractions. Parking is free and food and beverages, excluding alcohol and glass containers, may be brought into the park.
