Food and Beverage Service
Food service positions include cooks, cart attendants, counter help and prep cooks. These positions have a high degree of guest interaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing food in an appetizing manner
  • Providing great guest service
  • Maintaining a clean workplace
  • Requires lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Tolerance to various weather conditions ranging from rainy weather to temperatures that can reach in the upper ninety degrees

Job requirements:

  • Food Handler's Certification - Schlitterbahn will assist with obtaining this certification.

Cashiers
Cashiers work in locations all over Schlitterbahn. Their welcoming smiles and great guest service greet guests lining up to buy tickets, food, souvenirs and more. Cashiers greet and welcome guests in a courteous, proper and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Running and balancing a cash register in an honest, organized, efficient, safe, proper and courteous manner.
  • High level of integrity
  • Great guest service

  • Broad knowledge of Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 15 years old
    Attend and successfully complete a Schlitterbahn Waterpark cashier training class.

Lifeguard
Schlitterbahn lifeguards are the first line in guest safety and service.  These staff members have a large amount of guest interaction, and the greatest opportunity to ensure that guests have a safe visit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring guest safety
  • Maintaining high standards of safety
  • Maintaining skills at a rescue-ready level at all times
  •  Exceptional guest service skills
  • Assisting with various tasks including grounds, tubes, line control and taking out trash
  • Having physical stamina and spending extended periods of time in various weather conditions and temperatures
  • Being audited at any time to establish skill levels and attentiveness

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 15 years old
  • Must complete swim test and lifeguard course at Schlitterbahn Waterpark.
  • Must successfully complete departmental and new-hire orientation

Greeters
Greeters welcome guests in a courteous, proper, and efficient manner to America’s #1 Waterpark.

Responsibilities include:

  • Checking coolers
  • Answering guests’ questions
  • Standing for long periods of time outdoors
  • Cleaning the workstation and surrounding areas
  • Greeting guests and informing guests of park policies and general park information
  • Directing guests to all park locations
  • Making guest service and satisfaction a priority in every aspect
  • Putting on and removing wristbands

Job requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to use scissors in a safe and efficient manner
    Required to maintain established performance levels

Retail
Retail staff members help guests take their Schlitterbahn memories home - in the shape of a Schlitterbahn souvenir. Exceptional guest service skills are a must for retail staffers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attaining knowledge of product
  • Restocking merchandise daily
  • Maintaining store appearance
  • Performing asset protection
  • Exhibiting exceptional guest service wherein every Schlitterbahn guest is welcomed upon entering a shop

Job requirements:

  • Previous retail experience is preferred

Tram & Bus Drivers
Drivers keep Schlitterbahn moving. Drivers will move guests between Schlitterbahn East and West as well as shuttling staff members around.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe transportation for guests and staff
  • Giving great guest service

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Must have a Texas Commercial Driver License
  • Must meet requirements of Schlitterbahn driving test

Tour Guides
Tour Guides provide guests with valuable information as they ride a complimentary tram between Schlitterbahn East and West.

Responsibilities include:

  • Speaking in front of large groups of guests

Housekeeping
Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort has over 220 resort rooms and facilities that the housekeeping staff maintains. The Schlitterbahn housekeeping staff works hard behind the scenes to insure the cleanliness of Schlitterbahn for each and every guest.

  • Cleaning park facilities to maintain Schlitterbahn’s standard, in a timely manner

Arcade/Game Attendant (Seasonal Position)
Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to handle cash and merchandise in an honest, organized, efficient, safe, proper, and courteous manner.

  • Help generate sales at the arcade and game booths.

  • Assisting guests who have token or ticket problems or need help playing games.

  • Redeem tickets for prizes.

  • Cleaning the arcade and surrounding areas during/after shift is over and returning all items to proper areas.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years old.

  • Must be able to work until 12:00 midnight.
  • Attend & successfully complete a Schlitterbahn Waterpark training class and complete a departmental and new-hire orientation.

First Aid
The Schlitterbahn first aid staff consists of Texas and/or nationally certified Basic Emergency Medical Technicians who respond to guest situations and provide medical assistance to staff and guests as needed. Great people skills are a large part of the first aid role.

Responsibilities
include:

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of incidents
  • Being familiar with park layout and proper access to all areas of the facility
  • Performing equipment maintenance
  • Participating in supply inventory and stocking

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum Basic EMT Certification
  • Successfully complete departmental and new-hire orientation

Retail Warehouse
Retail warehouse staff members are responsible for preparing merchandise for the gift shops. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, checking and pricing new merchandise, as well as delivering and restocking merchandise in the gift shops.  Additional responsibilities include organizing, cleaning and maintaining retail warehouse inventory.

Resort Office
Stay where you play! Resort staff works with overnight guests, providing great guest service even when the rides aren’t running. Positions available include: front desk, night auditor and reservationists.

Water Quality - Pool Cleaners
Pool cleaners are a crucial element in our water chemistry equation. The pool cleaners are newly hired employees who have the potential of becoming techs. They will handle basic pool-cleaning equipment and ensure that multiple pool systems are ready for our guests every morning. Pool cleaners work part-time, 3-4 hours per day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling pool equipment
  • Cleaning in and around every pool environment
  • Assisting techs in providing a safe environment for our guests

Job requirements:

  • Successfully complete a new hire or re-hire orientation
  • Successfully complete the departmental training session
  • Early morning shifts

Water Quality Technicians
Water Quality Technicians are invisible to the glamorous appearance of the entire water system because they spend most of their time working behind closed doors. Techs are responsible for the entire reason people come to the park, to enjoy their day in clean and clear water. Without the magic of the techs, it would be hard to keep the #1 Waterpark a quality park.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining multiple pool systems during the day
  • Ensuring compliance with legal operating limits
  • Identifying and controlling unsafe conditions or situations
  • Handling pool chemicals and equipment
  • Supervising the Water Rangers
  • Provide a safe environment for our guest
  • Limited guest relations

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Successfully complete a new hire or re-hire orientation
  • Successfully complete the department training session
  • Present leadership qualities or exhibit previous experience in pool chemistry and operation
  • Early morning shifts

Security
Schlitterbahn security staff creates a visible presence both inside and outside the waterpark. Security wears a distinctive uniform and actively assists guests whenever needed. Guest safety is the number one goal, and individuals who are conscientious and attentive work well in this environment. Both day and night shifts are available. Shift schedules are flexible.

Schlitterbahn employs both commissioned and non-commissioned security officers in the park. All officers must be registered with the Texas Commission on Private Security (TCPS). Registering is simple and Schlitterbahn will help complete this process if applicants meet certain criteria.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting guests
  • Patrolling the property on foot and on bicycles
  • Manning fixed posts such as parking lots and resort entrances
  • Identifying and controlling situations that may be illegal or unsafe

Job requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must register with the Texas Commission on Private Security (done by Schlitterbahn Waterpark)
  • Successfully complete departmental and new-hire orientation
  • No criminal convictions which are Class B within the past 5 years, and nothing higher than a Class B during the applicant’s lifetime

Parking
These staff members help guests find the best spots available in one of our many free parking lots.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing guest vehicles
  • Answering questions in a friendly, professional manner

Tube Crew
Schlitterbahn Waterpark wouldn’t be the same without tubes. The tube crew ensures tube quality and quantity so that everyone can enjoy the attractions in the park.

Job duties include:

  • Repairing rubber and vinyl tubes
  • Transporting tubes
  • Working in a fast-paced, crowded environment
  • Having tolerance for all weather conditions

Grounds
The dedication of the grounds crew is the reason Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort has been awarded Most Beautiful Waterpark and Best Landscaping. Grounds crew deals with every aspect of grounds aesthetics to guarantee a picture perfect day for our guests.
