Food and Beverage Service Food service positions include bar staff, cooks, cart attendants, counter help, prep
cooks and servers. These positions have a high degree of guest interaction.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing food in an
appetizing manner
Providing great guest service
Maintaining a clean workplace
Requires lifting, bending and
standing for long periods of time
Tolerance to various weather
conditions ranging from rainy weather to temperatures that can reach in

Bar Staff Bar staff positions include bartenders and barbacks. These positions

Lifeguard Schlitterbahn lifeguards are the first line in guest safety and service.
These staff members have a large amount of guest interaction, and the
greatest opportunity to ensure that guests have a safe visit.

Maintaining skills at a
rescue-ready level at all times
Exceptional guest service

Assisting with various tasks
including grounds, tubes, line control and taking out trash

lifeguard course at Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

First Aid The Schlitterbahn first aid staff consists of Kansas and/or nationally
certified Basic Emergency Medical Technicians who respond to guest
situations and provide medical assistance to staff and guests as needed.
Great people skills are a large part of the first aid role.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate
documentation of incidents
Being familiar with park
layout and proper access to all areas of the facility
Performing equipment
maintenance
Participating in supply
inventory and stocking

Retail Retail staff members help guests take their Schlitterbahn memories home - in
the shape of a Schlitterbahn souvenir. Exceptional guest service skills are
a must for retail staffers.
Responsibilities include:

Restocking merchandise daily
Maintaining store appearance
Performing asset protection
Exhibiting exceptional guest
service wherein every Schlitterbahn guest is welcomed upon entering a
shop

Retail Warehouse Retail warehouse staff members are responsible for preparing merchandise for
the gift shops. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, checking
and pricing new merchandise, as well as delivering and restocking
merchandise in the gift shops. Additional responsibilities include
organizing, cleaning and maintaining retail warehouse inventory.
Water
Quality - Pool Cleaners Pool cleaners are a crucial element in our water chemistry equation. The
pool cleaners are newly hired employees who have the potential of becoming
techs. They will handle basic pool-cleaning equipment and ensure that
multiple pool systems are ready for our guests every morning.
Responsibilities include:
Handling pool equipment
Cleaning in and around every
pool environment
Assisting techs in providing
a safe environment for our guests

Water Quality Technicians Water Quality Technicians are invisible to the glamorous appearance of the
entire water system because they spend most of their time working behind
closed doors. Techs are responsible for the entire reason people come to the
park, to enjoy their day in clean and clear water.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining multiple pool
systems during the day
Ensuring compliance with
legal operating limits
Identifying and controlling
unsafe conditions or situations
Handling pool chemicals and
equipment
Supervising the Water
Cleaners
Provide a safe environment
for our guest
Limited guest relations
Job requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old

Present leadership qualities
or exhibit previous experience in pool chemistry and operation
Security Schlitterbahn security staff creates a visible presence both inside and
outside the waterpark. Security wears a distinctive uniform and actively
assists guests whenever needed. Guest safety is the number one goal, and
individuals who are conscientious and attentive work well in this
environment. Both day and night shifts are available. Shift schedules are
flexible.
Schlitterbahn employs both commissioned and non-commissioned security
officers in the park. All officers must be registered with the Texas
Commission on Private Security (TCPS). Registering is simple and
Schlitterbahn will help complete this process if applicants meet certain
criteria.
Responsibilities
include:
Assisting guests
Patrolling the property on foot and on
bicycles
Manning fixed posts such as parking lots
and resort entrances
Identifying and controlling situations
that may be illegal or unsafe
Job requirements:

No criminal convictions which are Class
B within the past 5 years, and nothing higher than a Class B during the
applicant’s lifetime
Park Services Responsible for maintaining the high standard of cleanliness important for a
safe, visually appealing environment for our guests and staff members.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning park
facilities to maintain Schlitterbahn's standard, in a timely manner
Sweeping
walkways, decks, and paved areas; removing litter from all areas
Emptying
ashtrays and trash cans
Cleaning
pedestrian areas; wiping benches, and tables; and moving tubes
