Just the Beginning
The first part of the outdoor waterpark opened in 2009 with an
uphill water coaster, 3 tubing slides, 1 tubing chute, 2 tubing
rivers including the world’s longest tidal wave river, 13 mini
slides for kids, 3 relaxing beaches and a giant hot tub with a
swim-up refreshment bar. This is just the beginning of the massive
360-acre Schlitterbahn Vacation Village resort! Additional waterpark
attractions, lodging facilities and the Riverwalk shopping area will
be introduced throughout the next few years. When complete, the $750
million Schlitterbahn Vacation Village will be a year-round,
trend-setting retail and attractions destination comprised of
multiple shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment venues. More
than 4 miles of manmade rivers will carry guests between cabins,
treehauses, a full-service hotel, a world-class waterpark, and the
Riverwalk with destination shopping, dining and other entertainment.
