Groundbreaking was observed Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Schlitterbahn Vacation Village site. Construction is in progress on the Schlitterbahn Waterpark portion of the resort, with the first phase of the waterpark scheduled to open summer 2009.

Construction of lodging components and the shops, restaurants, and attractions of the Riverwalk continues through 2011. When complete, there will be 750,000 square feet of retail space and 1,100 lodging units all fully integrated within the waterpark. Eventually more than four miles of interconnected waterways will be contribute to the Schlitterbahn Vacation Village experience.

Both Treehauses and Cabins utilize green technology principles and recycled building materials as part of our commitment to a green environment.
